Welcome to YMCA, Ranchi

There is an English Medium School at YMCA Vocational Training Center running classes from Nursery to Class IV.

Every year one new class is been added. There are almost 150 students studying in this school.

The following are the different activities, which are conducted in the school through out the year.

Science Exhibition :

Small students of YMCA English Medium School represented the different stages of a plant, how it grows and become a tree. Different classes represented different kinds of Plants or Creepers or Trees.

They also made different models and all these were displayed in the Science Exhibition.

Co-curricular and Sports Activities :

Yoga, Karate and Music classes are conducted for the students to keep them mentally physically sound and make them conscious about their health.

Regular Parents-Teachers Meetings :

Twice in a year there are Parents-Teachers Meetings, in which the parents are told about the performance of their wards and at the same time the parents could speak about their grievances and also could give their suggestions.

Inter-School Competitions :

We organise the Inter-School Competitions in different areas of children's intrest. we invite all the schools to participate in these competitions. This gives a good publicity to the school to get admission of more students.

Dance Competitions :

The Dance Competition was held on 13th August 2004, in which around 30 students participated.

Fancy Dress Competitions :

This was also held on the same day with the Dance Competition.

Cursive Writing Competition :

This Competition was held on 8th October 2004. In this competition students of all the classes from L.K.G to Class IV participated.

A project has been sanctioned to Ranchi YMCA from NORAD (Govt. Agency of Norway), through KFUK-KFUM (YWCA-YMCA) of Norway. The new building of the school id under construction at present and it would be completed soon and then we will have a full fledged school till Class Xth.
